1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or purchasing any service from We Check Cars, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Our Services

We Check Cars provides independent pre-purchase vehicle assessments and related advisory services. Our assessments are based on the information available at the time of inspection and are intended to assist clients in making informed vehicle purchasing decisions.

3. Bookings & Payment

Full payment is required before any assessment or report will commence.

An assessment will only begin once payment has been received and all required vehicle and seller information has been supplied by the client.

4. Information Required

To perform an assessment, clients may be required to provide:

Vehicle registration details

VIN (where available)

Seller information

Advertisements or listing links

Any additional information reasonably required to complete the assessment.

Delays in providing the required information may delay the completion of the assessment.

5. Report Delivery

We aim to deliver all completed assessment reports within 48 hours of:

Payment being received; and

All required vehicle information being provided.

Should we be unable to provide the completed report within this timeframe due to circumstances within our control, the client will be entitled to a full refund.

This guarantee does not apply where delays are caused by missing information supplied by the client, delayed responses from third-party service providers, public holidays, system outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Refund Policy

A full refund will be issued if:

We are unable to provide the completed assessment report within 48 hours of receiving payment and all required information, provided the delay is within our control.

Refunds will not be provided once:

The assessment has commenced.

Research or verification checks have been completed.

The assessment report has been delivered.

7. Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel an assessment before work has commenced.

Once the assessment process has started, cancellations will not qualify for a refund, as professional time and resources will already have been allocated to the assessment.

8. Third-Party Information

Our reports may include information obtained from third-party databases, public records, vehicle history providers, and other external sources.

While every effort is made to verify information, We Check Cars cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of information supplied by third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our assessment represents our independent professional opinion based on the information available at the time of inspection.

We Check Cars does not guarantee the future condition, reliability, or performance of any vehicle and shall not be held liable for defects, faults, mechanical failures, accident damage, or other issues that were not reasonably detectable or disclosed at the time of assessment.

The final purchasing decision remains solely the responsibility of the client.

10. No Warranty

Our services are advisory in nature and do not constitute a warranty or guarantee regarding any vehicle.

11. Vehicle Purchase Responsibility

Although every reasonable effort is made to identify potential concerns and risks, our assessment should be used as a decision-making tool and not as a guarantee that a vehicle is free from defects.

The client remains solely responsible for the final purchasing decision and any agreement entered into with the seller.

12. Confidentiality

All information provided by clients will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of completing the requested assessment unless disclosure is required by law.

13. Intellectual Property

All reports, documents, recommendations, and assessment findings remain the intellectual property of We Check Cars and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

14. Privacy

Any personal information collected will be processed in accordance with applicable South African legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

15. Changes to These Terms

We Check Cars reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will become effective upon publication on our website.
